While most of us have fallen under pressure, the resilient develop strategies to improve under pressure.  Many of us overlook our resilience, but until you explore it with a professional, it's challenging to understand your own resilience.  Giving up on yourself can lead to a cascade of other problems that may burden those in your life and typically rob us of knowing who we really are.  Psychology has revealed that the secret to resilience is developing self-insight.   A seasoned psychologist who directs their attention to identifying a patient's fears, challenges, and strengths while avoiding judgment and advice can help you overcome these hurdles.  I aim to help you master your motivation to grow and experience the best you sooner rather than later.  Our alliance will be a strength-based partnership in which my expertise in treating psychological symptoms is combined with my patients' expertise on themselves.  I will offer you the cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and humanistic interventions that appear to be most useful for you.

I have been offering talk therapy as a trainee, intern and licensed clinical psychologist for 14 years.  As a California licensed clinical psychologist, I also provide eclectic therapy which draws from my training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy humanistic therapy and other approaches.  I also draw from my background working with a hospital team addressing pateint's medical issues. I have worked with patients who are seeking treatment for mood disorders, psychosis, anxiety disorders, developmental disorders and personality disorders.  Many of them were also recovering from brain related issues such as stroke or head trauma, while others were primarily working to manage mood, anxiety and learning issues.
